Business Studies

The Business Studies department aims to provide our students with the skills and knowledge required to flourish in an ever-changing society. We aim to ensure that our students can go out into the dynamic contemporary business world with the attributes necessary to be successful employees and leaders. Business students at Yateley School will be entrepreneurial, independent learners, confident presenters and strong team players with a sound understanding of the world in which they live.

3D Product Design

3D PD is a creative and technical subject which involves designing, making and problem solving, innovating for improvement. Students will be introduced to a range of design, modelling techniques and CAD packages as well as being able to work in Polymers, Paper and Board, Timbers, Textiles and Metals.

Child Development

The Child Development department aims to provide our students with the opportunity to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to the roles and responsibilities connected to child development from conception to the age of five in a variety of settings.

The aim of this course is to help students to develop problem solving skills that support their success throughout the curriculum, to ensure each student has an understanding of different types of programming language and that they are able to program to understand how technology works.

The Dance Department offers a powerful and expressive subject to study at GCSE level. It encourages students to develop their creative, physical, emotional and intellectual capacity, whatever their previous experience in the subject.

The Languages curriculum at Yateley School intends to provide a rich and varied experience to enable all pupils to develop their linguistic ability and confidence. We offer the pupils plenty of regular opportunity to express their opinions on a variety of topics in both spoken and written tasks, with a key focus on spellings and pronunciation

Graphics enables students to think creatively, converting ideas and raw materials into the products and services that we all need and use every day of our lives. Students use the iterative design process to develop innovative solutions to design problems and will be introduced to a range of design, modelling techniques and CAD packages.
