The Languages curriculum at Yateley School intends to provide a rich and varied experience to enable all pupils to develop their linguistic ability and confidence. Pupils are able to develop their vocabulary breadth, apply grammatical rules and structures with increasing accuracy and flair through authentic sources of literature and prose and develop a greater understanding and appreciation of the wider world around them. We offer the pupils plenty of regular opportunity to express their opinions on a variety of topics in both spoken and written tasks, with a key focus on spellings and pronunciation

3D Product Design

3D PD is a creative and technical subject which involves designing, making and problem solving, innovating for improvement. Students will be introduced to a range of design, modelling techniques and CAD packages as well as being able to work in Polymers, Paper and Board, Timbers, Textiles and Metals.

The Child Development department aims to provide our students with the opportunity to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in relation to the roles and responsibilities connected to child development from conception to the age of five in a variety of settings.

The aim of this course is to help students to develop problem solving skills that support their success throughout the curriculum, to ensure each student has an understanding of different types of programming language and that they are able to program to understand how technology works.
