Yateley School is a popular 11-18 comprehensive school. Our school has a superb range of facilities across all areas of the curriculum. We have had specialist status in performing arts since 2002. We pride ourselves on high standards, which are achieved through a friendly and caring atmosphere and a dedicated team of well-qualified teachers. At Yateley, we believe we offer the chance for every child to fulfil potential and achieve success.

2013 Results

Our students have excelled again this year, despite the changing goal posts in English, Maths and Science.

At GCSE, 75% of our students attained 5+ A*-C grades including English and Maths.  This compares to 79% last year and this reduction is almost totally due to changed grade boundaries in English.  88.4% of students achieved 5 A*-C grades and 29 students achieved 8 or more A* and A grades.  Our highest performing student, Toby Roberts, achieved 11 A* and one A grade at GCSE, an A grade in AS Critical Thinking and an A in Additional Mathematics.

At A level and BTec, 53.1% of grades were A*, A or B.  The early calculations of value added indicate that these are ‘good’ results.  The pass rate was 99.4% and 9% of students achieved straight A or A* grades.  Our highest performing students were Matthew Beech with 3 A* and 1 A grade, Zak Tonks with 2 A* and 2 A grades and Laura Davidson, Rebecca Day and Brittany Roberts with 4 A grades.  Erin Quilliam and Steven Basher achieved 2 A* and 1 A grade.  All three of our Oxbridge candidates achieved the grades necessary for their places.

We are so pleased that our students continue to do so well and that we continue to offer them the best possible opportunities to succeed.
