GCSE RESULTS FOR 2016

Please click here for Exam Results 2016

We are absolutely delighted with our excellent GCSE results this year.  77% of students achieved five or more grades at A* – C including English and Maths.

91% gained a C or better in English and 83% in Maths.  There were strong performances in all subjects and we were particularly impressed with the high grades our students achieved – three, Catriona Sutherland, Janine Lanek and Charlie Rothwell achieved 10 or more A* grades.  8% of students achieved 8 or more A* or A grades.  16% achieved 8 or more A* or A grades and 26% achieved 5 or more A* or A grades .  Overall, 28% of all grades were A* or A.

The value added figures indicate that our students achieved results that are significantly better than national averages and the new Progress 8 measure confirms this picture.  Another very pleasing aspect was the performance of our boys, with the National press reporting a widening gap between boys and girls performance of nearly 10% whereas, ours was 1%.

We are very proud of our students and the way that they worked so hard with us to achieve these results.  We are extremely pleased to be among the highest achieving schools in Hampshire again.  Our thanks go to our fantastic students and also to our supportive parents but particularly to our hard working and dedicated staff who have contributed so much to this success.

Best wishes
