Welcome to Yateley School

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Yateley School. Thank you for visiting this website and I hope it will give you some insight into our vibrant, happy and successful school and an indication of our values and ambitions.

Nothing online can ever be a substitute for seeing for yourself and you are warmly invited to get in touch and come and see us in action.

Yateley School is a large and highly accomplished centre of excellence, firmly rooted within its local community. Examination results are exemplary and compare favourably with other schools both locally and nationally at GCSE and A-Level.

Alongside superb provision both within and beyond the classroom, we are confident that the preparation for adult life offered at Yateley School is second to none. The curriculum is broad and challenging and our accomplishments in cultural and sporting activities are truly inspirational. No child is left out and it is a matter of pride for us that whatever a child’s need we can bring both our resources and individual care and attention to bear to ensure that every young person can thrive. If this falls short, we listen and constantly seek to improve. With a large and vibrant Sixth Form as an integral part of the school and much valued partnerships with both our feeder primary schools and with Higher Education institutions, education is a life-long journey in which we are privileged to play a significant part. We are a happy, dynamic and successful school, nurturing students to become self-confident and accomplished adults ready for the challenges of further education and training, alongside preparation for responsible adult life.

I believe that the opportunity to educate other people’s children is both a pleasure and a privilege that brings with it a huge responsibility to provide the best all round education that we can, as we aim to prepare young people for success in a fast changing world. At Yateley School, we are taking this responsibility extremely seriously. We believe strongly in the limitless potential of all our students. Each student must be valued as an individual and encouraged to develop their talents to the full, in a community where achievement is celebrated. Alongside vast opportunity within the curriculum, our outstanding House system ensures that all students can and should participate from the first day and play a full part in the success of both House and School. Our aim is to encourage each student to be self-confident, inquiring, tolerant and positive, self-respecting and celebrating the differences of others. We pride ourselves in enabling young people to think for themselves, to think deeply and to think about others. By the time they leave the school, we want each student to have class leading qualifications a true sense of their self-worth and to be a value to society. A child only has one chance at their education. I believe that our school’s offer should be exemplary – no excuses!

We want the whole community at Yateley School to be proud of their school and successful in achieving their goals. We can promise you support, care, encouragement, respect and above all, a really enjoyable and rewarding school experience.

Our success is your success and I hope you are keen to become part of our story after viewing our website. #YS
